Started writing a chapter 1 last night. Was fun. Need to get a draft done and not agonise every sentence.

Exploring.

My thinking over the current AI fad has been that it would fade out in a year or so. Now thinking it will push people off the Internet entirely. In what numbers? Hard to say. But I think people will just get fed up, find it less useful and be more selective with sources. Time will tell.

I had totally forgotten about Steam streaming! Sitting on my laptop and streaming Cookie Clicker from my Beelink desktop.

I don’t seem to code as a hobby anymore. This is a little sad but I could get back to it fairly quickly I suppose.

Reinstalled my laptop to get a clean Xfce setup unpolluted by KDE. Glad I did. Feels nicer. Of course, Linux runs great on this i3 laptop but to be fair Windows 11 ran pretty nicely too.

I started with KDE on this laptop but as soon as I started wanting to simplify the desktop ‘stuff’, I realised I would save a lot to time switching to Xfce. All good now. Removed the dock and moved the main panel to the foot of the screen and auto-hid it.

Good to be outside today 🌳

Woke up. Installed Debian. Happy.

Wish my windows were this pretty! 😁
